Traction –nike air max is surprisingly good… no matter what type of player wears them. While the pattern itself is designed for powerful heel and toe action, a smaller player – such as Guards and Small Forwards – can feel safe knowing that they can wear these without any hesitation on-court. Quick cuts, stops and changes in direction are all fairly well taken care of with the only issue being a bit of stiffness along the midsole and Air unit… not a huge deal for larger players most of the time.

Cushion – 360 degrees of nike air max 90. You are covered from heel to toe with one of the most impact absorbent cushions available. Flexibility is sacrificed but that is usually something a Guard wants while the typical big man has enough weight and strength to bent whatever may be on his or her foot. The Phylon injected heel adds to the comfort upon heel strikes while the thick insole provides you with some step-in comfort. If cushion is your main concern… these will take good care of you.

Material – The materials are fantastic. Fuse and Foam… two of the most durable synthetics available all wrapped up into one bulky shell. Battle tested and approved.

Fit – The fit is true to size but wide footers may need to go up ½ size. They will be snug at the forefoot at first but if you can hold out for a few hours then the foam begins to break-in and mold to your foot shape. With Fuse along the midfoot, lockdown and support are a non-factor while the heel foam molds to your heel shape providing you with perfect lockdown from every direction.

Ventilation – nike air max 1 Not the best ventilation but that’s actually a requirement when Foamposite it used. There are some targeted sections located at the midfoot – both medial & lateral side – which offer some air flow and allow heat to escape which is a nice touch. Overall, the forefoot and heel need to have restricted ventilation in order for the Foamposite material to work and you will not even miss the ventilation once you see how great the fit is after the molding process has completed.

Support – Foamposite – if done properly – can offer the wearer with a tremendous amount of support and this is the best use of the materials that I’ve personally experienced. The support ties in with the other attributes of the shoe discussed above so you don’t have much to worry about. Your base is stable while the fit/ lockdown are excellent which in turn provides you with all the support you need.

Overall - Even though I am a Guard, this is one of my favorite shoes this year. My only complaint is that I’m not big enough to fully utilize all that is has to offer.
